Summary
Something isn't right with this house. It's a historical landmark, with fourteen bedrooms. And people die or disappear.... Lucy and her cousin Margaret are inseparable. Aunt Penelope is the only mother Lucy has ever know; her father shuts her out emotionally. When Penelope disappears, Margaret spends more time in the attic, listening to her mother's voice whispering from the walls. Lucy watches Margaret's sanity unravel, and then she begins hearing voices herself. She find herself confronting an ancient and deadly legacy that has marked the women in her family for generations
